I am not sure what is in the Water at the Whitehouse but I don't like it.
First let me preface. This is the first President I cared about get re-elected in 2004 and first elected in 2000. In a 60 percent Democrat county in Florida, I proudly put my sign up on company vehicles for BUSH-CHENEY both times. Even after the Pinhead liberal press talking heads on TV predicted loss after loss for the President I was in there fighting. Even in the 2002 mid term elections when 99 per cent of the time, the sitting Political Party losses seats. I backed out of town Republican candidates in Congress elections and Governor elections. And just as the liberals did before, the President and his "support" came through in historic measures, by adding to the republican majority in Congress. I didn't care if I lost business, I wanted this President to be elected.
Additionally, I was in the era of the Fonda-Pro Viet Cong crowd rioting and protesting against the US in the 70's. I fought the war then in idea's and soon found that I was fighting it again with the Kerry-Edwards run for President. Not only working hard to get the votes out in a crucial area of Florida they call the "I-4 corridor", I prayed every day for the success of the 2004 election.
More important I am sure there are things behind the scenes that we are not privy to such as ongoing operations and secret successes. With that in mind, I am still 620 per cent behind the President .... down from the famous 1000 per cent. Reasons below:
WAR ON TERROR/ IRAQ:
I am not a fickle supporter of a football team, let alone the Whitehouse. But I can tell you I am worried. I not convinced the 2006 elections will be as successful as the past for the GOP. And I am not sure the Whitehouse can muster the support of the American people in Iraq any longer. Even though the US military is performing spectacular, I think there is no plan for stategic future of the operations. I also think a full game plan NEVER existed, and this War is just about "adjust and reconfigure".
Couple things should have been done, long ago. A very public and loud warning should have been given against Iran and Syria concerning their involvement in assisting the Insurgent Terrorists resulting in the death of American troops and Iraq civilians. That has not been done. If it was done privately, it wouldn't have helped. Air Attacks should be ongoing in those countries along the border to make the point more illustrative. This is a war after all. Rumors that Condy Rice nixed a particular air attack against a Syrian base of operations for terrorists is disturbing. I thought the President already made the speech that "you are with us of against us". All we need now is the Clinton mentality that we are soft and not showing resolve. While American Troops die and come back wounded for life, I think the State Department should not be in the decision making loop when it comes to targeting, and fighting a war on Terror as described. I can tell the President like he told us, "you are either in the War or you are not". The lack of bold decisions to do what it is right for the US forces should Never ever be nixed or advised off the table from a State Department head that already has a poor record in being taken serious by those countries that are secretly fighting us.
MAD............. that is Mutually Assured Destruction used successfully in the Cold War. Some lacking historic thinking in the first place say this Doctrine cant be used against the Terrorists who would rather die than live. But they are wrong. Everyone has something very dear to them.... family, a mosque, a neighborhood, etc. A Mosque that spews hatred and enables its followers to kill Americans should be bombed and destroyed. And it should be made known now that an attack against any more Americans in the US will be retaliated against in those countries where the person is from. Just like the Cuban Missile crisis, when President Kennedy told the Soviets in no uncertain terms that an attack against the US from Cuba will be viewed to be an attack from Russia, you saw the successful result. This is no different.
The spine from this Whitehouse is lacking and the Americans need to see it again. It seems to permeate the other items on the US Agenda.
GAS prices and OIL Dependency:
The American people just simply think that this Whitehouse has lost its interest in their daily affairs. If President Bush wants to climb in the polls, he would come up with the same vigor as was seen in the Social Security reform. Not only the encouragement from Private industry for Alternative energy, but the Development of a TRUE AND HARD HITTING Energy policy. Not a statement by the Energy Sectretary Bodman to drive less............ shameful..... or the statement from Transportation sectretary Mineta that he plans to increase MPG regs on cars to 27mpg.... wooooo, a real reason to keep that guy employed. What in the heck do these people do all day.
I think this Whitehouse misses opportunity's to show the Public the Democrats are not in the Energy game. When most Democrats voted against streamlining regs to build Refineries, the GOP never let the news out. A rose garden speech to ask voters to ask their reps to get on the train should have been the order of that day. It passed but so did the opportunity for the President and GOP to make hay of Liberal House leaders reading from the passed around Faxes that the "republicans have a culture of Corruption".. etc. I am telling you all that this lack of putting them in their place and making the public know they not only fight against us in the War on Terror, they are fighting the Whitehouse on Energy plans to reduce the price of Gas at the pump. When people stop and fill their tanks and pay high prices, they don't see Shell, Exxon, Mobil.... they see the Seal of the President. They should see the face of the Liberal who for years have fought for energy independence and a Clinton Whitehouse who never, ever addressed the topic. That opportunity might have been lost by the impotent leaders of the RNC or GOP..... same thing. Again, shameful.
Now, I am not saying to get some sort of photo op summit at the Whitehouse to gather those who are in Energy to come up with alternatives or something else to get off the addiction to Foreign Oil. That would be like asking the Wolves to come up with a plan to help Little Red Riding Hood. A plan, which I am 20 days away from implementing might work. A sort of "AWARD" to the American Energy experts to develop something.......... similar to the Aerospace X prize but bigger. I will do it soon because I don't think this Whitehouse has a clue on this one.
MORE TO COME : The polls might be right or wrong, but I am soon understanding that the cloud of the Whitehouse world is not permitting a clear and pro-active agenda for most Americans. We suffered for 8 years in the Clinton administration's lack of Pro-Activeness in fighting Al Quada just to mention one thing.
I feel like taking those in the Whitehouse inner circle, including the President and Vice President by the shoulders and shaking them to wake up. It is that frustrating.
All I can say, is that you lose me, you lost the rest of "them". Times a ticking guys and gals.

Keep on believing the shit that your "so-called president" pumps out, your "so-called leader" spews from his mouth. You, along with every other idiot who voted for him will regret it to the fullest. Thanks for opening Pandora's box. You will burn in hell, and I'll be by your side, laughing every time you scream in pain.
You are either from Brooklyn, or Berkley or looney left France... Bush has finally done something against the Radical Muslim idiots. Clinton and Gore did nothing in 8 years and Kerry in 25 years. You have got to be a total moron if you think Bush is bad. Name one thing he has done bad loser.
